The Case Logic TBC-306

I didn’t wanna bring my DSLR bag, the one that came in the package, because it’s a little bulky and it won’t fit my backpack. I knew slinging the camera bag on my shoulders while commuting would be an invitation for snatchers to “come and get it.”

So I’ve been leaving the camera bag at home and putting my camera inside my backpack, cushioning it with clothes…

I knew it’s not okay to let the camera juggle with my stuff inside the backpack. So when I chanced upon this small Case Logic DSLR bag (model code TBC-306), I bought it in an instant. And that impulse buy left me with just 10 pesos in my pocket when I arrived home.

No regrets, though.

Aside from main compartment, it has a front and two side pockets where you can put your extra memory card, lens cap, or in my case, coins and a packet of tissue. You can also stuff the side pockets with extra cushion if you’re paranoid like that.

It comes with a sling, but I think I’m not gonna use it since I bought a camera bag that small so I can put it inside my backpack. :D

Nanay always tells me to tone it down when commuting.

My Nikon fits snuggly inside the Case Logic.

And just look at its size difference from the free camera bag:

The bigger one, however, is padded enough and fits the camera and the lens separately, plus another small lens at the same time. The Case Logic can only accommodate my Nikon with its stock lens attached. You can’t blame it, though, because it’s so small… And (again) I wanted a small one so it would fit in my backpack.

No reason to fold documents anymore

Been looking for an affordable bag that could fit my DSLR and netbook. Not a backpack, but something I could use in meetings and stuff.

So I didn’t let this one go when I saw it on display in a Folded and Hung store last Saturday. (And yes, I photographed it on top of Princess’ cage.)

It only comes in brown and costs Php1,399.

I love this bag Oliver Altman is holding in the Canari Spring/Summer 2012 shoot.

I'm really considering full time blogging so I can use one.

Suede is Love

I'm thinking of buying a bigger daypack. My 18-liter Hawk just won't do anymore. The bladder now takes most of the space inside the main compartment.

And then I saw this in my feeds just a while ago:

That's Ethan James for Heart magazine. Sadly, the suede backpack is not listed in the credits.

I know it's not an outdoor bag. But still.

JanSport on Gier

The Philippine Azkals' Anton Del Rosario, Rob Gier, Nate Burkey, Simon Greatwich, and Misagh Bahadoran are the new ambassadors of the food supplement store Health & Beyond.

Brands like Levi's, Mikasa, Canon, Power Balance, JanSport, and Mizuno are used in the shoot.

And I'm kind of wondering what this JanSport bag Rob Gier is seen wearing on the vid.

Vain!

It seems that Blogger won't upload pictures to its servers. I thought it's a problem with Windows Live Writer (which I use) so I logged in to my Blogger account to create a post the old fashioned way (thru an internet browser). But alas! Blogger still won't upload the pictures.

Anyway, Resty (Princess' dad) slept over last Monday. I was actually surprised when he called up and said he's here in the country. I eventually learned that he cut his vacay short due to some "technical glitches."

He brought with him a big bottle of Jose Cuervo. It was my first time to drink tequila. I was already numb when we finished the bottle.

The presence of Resty actually reminds me that I should be at least a little vain. I'm turning to look like his assistant with all the sun I get from mountain climbing.

Solution: I should get him to climb with me so he'd look ulikba as well.

And speaking of mountain climbing, I've been surfing TNF's website as of late. Been looking for a daypack with hydration system. And here are my picks (just picks, I still have no cash to spend):

TNF Animas 12 (bladder included) - $95-$99 (mall price here: P5690)
TNF Gunnison 18 (bladder included) - $115 (mall price here: P6590)
TNF Enduro 30 (bladder NOT included ) - $99

Well, for now, my Hawk daypack would do.

Solo

I'm so excited for Nasugbu on Saturday that after visiting the doctor this morning, I dropped by the mall to shop for stuff. I originally planned to buy a North Face backpack but while at the backpack section I felt a little uneasy. I don't know but I had this feeling that I'm way beyond my backpack years. Well it's different if it's a National Geographic traveller but a North Face made me feel like... I dunno... so school boy.

I thought a gym bag would be better. But the gym bags I saw were all so big it would look like I'm going away for a month vacation when I'd only stay in Nasugbu overnight.

And then I passed by Solo and they had these man bags on display. I for the three solid-colored bags and had them put on a table side by side.

I asked the sales rep assisting me which of the three he'd choose if he's to buy and he said the black one. And I picked the black one. Not because of the sales rep but because it was really my choice even before I asked him.

The Milla Clutch

Louis Vuitton just honored model Milla Jovovich by naming a clutch after her. The Milla Clutch is a furry brown and grey with black LV monogram evening bag that costs $2,180. It's made of soft, supple lambskin leather, brass and mink fur.

If you still don't know what to give your mom/wife/gf this Christmas, I'm kinda sure a clutch like this will never fail to make any woman feel loved.

This giant Louis Vuitton suitcase surely will not fail to draw attention. It's in front of the Ngee Ann City building on Orchard Road where the LV boutique is.

Havaianas Zip G – iWant!

First saw this at The Fash Pack blog. I told myself I'd get one as soon as I see one (you know how hard-to-find these Havaianas are). And then I came across the Havaianas website and saw this:

It would be a sin to not put Princess inside one of these. Besides, I'm already sick of her carrier.

I really wish there's an All Flip-Flops store somewhere near me. As of now, the nearest branch is in MOA. And near means a little over 200 pesos in taxi fare.

But I think I would be going to SMX this Saturday with the kids. I guess I'll pay All Flip-Flops a visit.

Another wish: an official Havianas online store. I really don't like buying in Multiply.
