The reason why I didn't wanna go to the games folder of my phone is that I knew I'd be addicted once I did. And yes, I love cellphone games.
And Jungle Zuma is the reason why I've been sleeping at dawn as of late.
Basically, the game is about balls and colors. LoL! Hitting a series of at least two balls of the same color with a ball of that color (redundundant?) will make it disappear, and therefore, making your line of balls shorter. You have to keep the line short and make all the balls disappear before they reach the hole at the end point. If they did get to the hole, that's the end of your game.

I was at the e-Games Domination V last April 2. I arrived at SMX around 4:00 PM while the Shure Band was performing. The band was the 2nd place winner of the battle of the bands during the R2D5 NCR leg.
The event was hosted by Eri Neeman and two other girls I didn't get the names of.
SMX was packed but I think there were more attendees last year. Well, correct me if I'm wrong but I could barely roam around last year. Or was it just the floor plan this year that made it seem more maluwang?
There were computers for free play but the line was oh-so-long. I just busied myself with watching Ran Online's "Flip Top" challenge in the game's booth. The last two standing battled it out on the main stage.
The judge was no less than Gloc9, who confessed that he doesn't freestyle himself. He just chose the one with better construction and rhyming. The one in black, named Gabby(?), won the battle, while the one in red, I guess, will be dubbed "Yo!" after that.
Audition Dance Battle also had a dancing event. Just like in Ran Online's, teams of three dancers were screened at the Audition booth and the last two remaining groups battled it out on the main stage. And one group was so obviously better than the other.
Of course Team 1 (the all-male team) won.
Highlight of the event was the cosplay competition. I had two favorites:
Unfortunately, none of these two won.
Open category was won by Rolando Logronio, a familiar name in cosplay, as Hades and Eli Chan(?) as a nymph from some anime.
E-Games category, on the other hand, had Christian Umali in the second place and Zyka Managad (?) in the first place. Zyka cosplayed a character from Granado Espada.
We normally have visitors every Christmas – friends, neighbors, but mostly relatives. But this Christmas it was different. By 11:00 AM last Dec. 25, our house was literally full. SRO. 3 vans full of relatives and more.
It was fun, but I have to honestly say that I don’t like kids. You know the under-10-year-olds that are literal pain in the arse. It went well, though. But I found myself sleeping in Nanay’s bed in the middle of it all. The lack of sleep from the previous morning masses took its toll. Yes, on Christmas day.
Juansen, who I hope is not becoming anti-social like me, joined me in the bedroom eventually. He was Facebooking on his Dell when a friend of his posted that she finished Qwop. What? And he showed me what he and his classmates are currently playing. And Qwop it was.

It was so fun but I have to admit, I’m no good at these flash games. So for 4 days now, I find myself playing Qwop whenever I can. And this is the best I’ve done:

For like 3 days now, one of my client computers won't run Special Force. The launcher won't even pop up, and instead, a small notification that says "Failed to Global.cki download (IDLE)" greets me when I click the SF icon.
As Google is my bestfriend, I searched the net for my little problem. I realized that I'm not the only one experiencing the error. But sadly, no specific solution to the problem has been given.
There is also another form of the gobal.cki error. Mine's (IDLE), right? Others get "Failed to Global.cki download (ERROR_URINOTFOUND)."
Since no one has provided a specific solution to the problem, I tried (almost) everything that has been suggested over the forums and blogs. After about 2 hours of tinkering and installing/uninstalling the client, I decided to try someone's suggestion to uninstall the MyGame launcher and let SF install it for me. I didn't try it before because after all, I have already uninstalled and reinstalled SF and it still didn't work. My logic was that when I uninstall SF, naturally, the launcher would also be uninstalled.
But no! I realized that I also have 12 Sky and CrossFire and no matter how many times I uninstall SF, the MyGame launcher won't be uninstalled cuz I still have 2 other MyGame games.
So there, the solution to the global.cki error is to uninstall the MyGame launcher from the Add/Remove Programs then click on SF and let the game re-download the launcher for you. Click next-next (the usual) when it prompts you to install the launcher and you're good after that.
I don't know what happened to the sound but this was the first vid I took at the Domination IV last Saturday. Uploaded it just yesterday. Kodak ZX1 records .mov videos and I'm on Windows, which means I lack editing tools for .mov files.
But still, this is a raw video. Wasn't able to edit it cuz the video quality becomes fugly when I convert it to avi or mpg.

The video is noisy overall. But there are some parts that the quality gets really good. And those are the parts where I didn't zoom. So that's the trick, don't zoom.

So I went with four kids at the Domination IV. Not really kids cuz they're already in college. But they're younger than I am. So kids.
We arrived at SMX quite late. 5 pm. And Parokya ni Edgar was almost finished performing when we were able to enter the hall. Like by the time we saw the stage, they're already gone. But who knew Parokya would be performing? Neither did we know that Mark Bautista and Rachelle (spell?) Ann Go were also there. They're endorsing a new e-Games title, Superstar, a karaoke-thing. Ehem ehem. Better get my vocals ready.
One lucky bastard won the bidding for a PS3 Slim for 200 something pesos. And how much is PS3 now? 20k? It made Kenneth and Dan want to buy cards and bid at the Winila booth, too. But I spoke to them against it. It's gambling, people!

I'm quite excited to go to Nasugbu on Saturday. Really. After years of online communication, Bans and I are gonna meet.
And why we chose Nasugbu? It's because 3 of our online friends are based there. And yes, so we can also meet them.
I met all of them almost four years ago via e-Games's RAN Online. It's the last game I played quite seriously, and when you enjoy playing something, you also enjoy interacting with the other gamers until you become online friends. Not all of them became real friends, though. Others considered me just as a "grinding" buddy, while others stopped the friendship when they stopped playing the game.
But Bans and the rest of the Nasugbu guys stayed friends even after our RAN Online addiction. Bans was just 2nd year Nursing student then, now she's already a Registered Nurse.
There are four more gamers that I have constant communication with, but I can't handle big crowds so I'm meeting with just Bans and the Nasugbu guys on Saturday.
As much as I hate my online gaming addiction when I look back to it, I still wanna thank e-Games for giving such friends as Bans and the rest of them.

Late last year, Level Up! kinda announced the coming of RO II. But it never happened. It was a flop in the Asian market, so I guess Level Up! didn't risk releasing it here anymore. Imagine the sadness of the RO fanatics hoping to get their feel of the new sequel.
Gravity, though, didn't give up and updated everything, including RO II's engine from Unreal 2.5 to Gamebryo. And now they're having a 2010 release... in the West.
But hey, we have a reason to rejoice, too! Since social networking games (SNG) are a fad now, Gravity will also release a Ragnarok web game in 2010. And I'm kinda sure they'd link to Facebook. Heh! It's now the most popular social networking site, especially for SNG's. And do you really think Gravity would link Ragna to Friendster or MySpace? Or worse, Tagged and Orkut?
Omigad! As early as now, I can already see myself playing Ragna on Facebook all day.

There was a time when I was so addicted to playing Crazy Kart. I've spent quite a sum on it, buying karts and stuff. I stopped being addicted at level 38. I still log on every time I have time. It's something that doesn't demand much of your time, anyway.

I'm an online game baby. I grew up socializing in the virtual world of MMORPG... Umm well that's too much of a statement. I mean I grew up playing online games. There was a point when my day wouldn't be so complete without playing and/or talking to my online game buddies.
I started with Ragnarok, the first ever MMORPG in the country. Then MU Online, then Khan, RF, and RAN Online. Some of the friends I made in these games, I still keep up to now.
Lately, though, I haven't had much time in my hands to play these online games anymore. It's either PSP or DS now, mainly because they're so handy I can bring them wherever I go.
So you might have guessed how happy I am when I saw this:

I haven’t been blogging lately. Got hooked with Playfish games on Facebook. Hooked to the truest essence of the word. I can sit in front of my PC from morning till night, just playing and chatting on Facebook.
But I got disappointed lately upon finding out about the Cheat Engine. Geez! You can reach the highest level in just a few seconds. What’s the sense of playing, then?
But still, I couldn’t refrain myself from playing. I don’t compete on level anymore cuz for all I know, everyone aside from me is using Cheat Engine. But what the heck, I’m playing just for the fun of it.

Since I’m so addicted to Facebook, I watch television on the computer na rin. LOL! PinoyTube. Thank you. And being a member of the third sex, it’s so surprising that I didn’t notice Justin to be gay. ‘Yon nga lang, it’s sad that he’s the first to be voted off.
I was at the Bonifacio Global City Open Field this afternoon with some friends. It was actually the Level Up! event that made me go, and not the Yahoo! Purple Hunt Finale. I’m really not a fan of contests.
The Open Field was so big the five tents in color purple occupied not even 1/4 of the area LOL!

It was so hot in the “open field” that only the participants of The Purple Hunt Finale were at the stage area.
Then Taguig Mayor Freddie Tinga with his daughter arrived.

It (the Honda Jazz) was eventually won by Calvin Galgana from Caloocan.
It was really scorching hot especially when we decided to line-up for the freebies at the Level Up! booth.
By the time we got the freebies, a Calvin Galgana was announced the winner.
We wanted to watch the Level Up! events which was just about to start after we received the freebies. But it was really so hot, Ryan was feeling chest pains I was afraid he’d suffer heat stroke. We went to Market Market instead.
Due to a friend's request, I downloaded Ran Online again last night. I was surprised to find the full client chopped into 9 parts, with two extra files named the "latest patch" and the "current patch" (huh? I first thought the two are just the same files but no, they're two different ones). From what I can remember, the full client used to be just one file. Now, you have to bear with the clutter of 9 zip files (plus 2 exes - namely current and latest) in the directory wherever you download your stuff, in my case, the desktop (lol).
So I installed it this morning hoping to play with my friend who has just been introduced to the game and is currently super enjoying it. But then this D3D9 Application error (pictured above) pops up. Description says: "Generic application error. Enable debug output for detailed information."
I got so confused cuz according to Google, D3D9 is video related. And confused I was cuz I was using a 1 Gig video card. What could possibly go wrong?! Is my 1 Gig video card suddenly behind Ran Online's platform?
The Ran Online forum shows threads regarding D3D9 Application errors but I was so disappointed to find no real answer to the problem. Replies also come from Ran Online players who, just like the thread starter (and me) do not know what could have possibly caused the problem. So the threads are full of guesses and hunches and maybes. Some of the threads even have no reply at all, to think that those threads are in the forum's "technical" section. I wonder where all their techies have gone.
After hours of tinkering with my video card's control panel, trying out different resolution settings, reinstalling the game, downloading a new d3d9.dll, scanning my registry, etc... I decided to reinstall the game without running the "latest patch" and the "current patch." I decided to just patch it through their autopatcher... and lo and behold! Darn it! It worked!
It was a long wait, give or take 45 minutes, but I did it because I can't think of anything else to do to make it work. Like if autopatching still didn't work, I would've given up on it.
But then, spending all day trying to make Ran Online work was irritating. So irritating it conjured up old irritations with the game - disconnections, heavy lag, frequent emergency maintenance, lost premium items, wasted premium items due to emergency maintenance, bullying in-game, bad customer support, etc, etc...
By lunch time, I was already decided I wouldn't play anymore. I just tried to make the game work on my PC for personal satisfaction. I really don't like giving up on anything.
So to those who are having the D3D9 Application errors, just don't download the two manual patches and just let the client auto patch itself.

Megan Joy was eliminated. LOL! And Vote For The Worst is having a poll on who to "patronize" next. I've actually enjoyed reading VFTW until they pick too much on Scott. C'mon guys he's blind, and unlike other "normal" beings of this planet who won't so much as lift a finger to pursue their dreams, he's out there pursuing his.
On other notes, I'm starting to get hooked on an online game called Rohan Online. Last MMORPG I got addicted to was RAN Online which was almost two years ago. I played a little of the casual games around after RAN but never got hooked that much. But I'm liking Rohan. It was launched on open beta stage just last month. And I'm really liking it.
A few gaming hours a night won't hurt... I hope.
This is the future of gaming. But I have to know first about the headset - that is, will it cause any negative effect to my brain? But damn it's cool. It's like hypnotizing the ball and cotrol it just with your eyes and mind!
Sometimes, we get really mad that we feel like throwing the nearest thing we can grasp at someone. And thanks to the Iraqi reporter who taught us that if we can't find anything to throw, we can use our shoes to hit someone.
