Tom Ford is on the cover the The Advocate's December-January 2009 ish.

Best known for his turnaround of Gucci, the 48-year-old fashion designer was this year's recipient of GQ Germany's Fashion Award.

Tom opened his first "Tom Ford" store on April 2007 at New York's Madison Avenue. As of the present, he also have boutiques in Zurich and Ontario. He's also into directing movies. His directorial debut, the movie adaptation of the 1964 novel by Christopher Isherwood A Single Man, was exhibited this year at various film festivals in the US, Italy, Canada, UK, and Japan.

A Single Man stars Colin Firth, Matthew Goode, and Julianne Moore. The director and the cast received a standing ovation at its Venice premiere, and Tom Ford has been continuously receiving praises for this directorial debut.
