The music videos that the survivors did this week were pitted against one another to come up with the "Best Male Performance in a Music Video" and the "Best Female Performance in a Music Video" awards. I was right when I said yesterday that only Rocco Nacino had the sane music video, because he did win in the male category. Sarah Lahbati, always a crowd favorite, won among the females.
But the awards didn't just end there. An announcement was made that winning the awards comes an addition reward - immunity from the week's elimination. So you could imagine how ecstatic the two were. But really, even if they didn't win those music video awards, I'm kinda sure they would still have been safe from the elimination. I honestly think that Rocco and Sarah are the pair that will make it through the finale.
Speaking of elimination, 2 from the international auditions were part of the bottom 3 - Nina Kodaka and Rye Burgos. They were joined by Ian Batherson who was also part of the bottom 3 last week.
Poor Ian. One more time at the bottom 3 and he sure will be eliminated. The rule says that a survivor who becomes part of the bottom group three times will automatically get the boot.
Rye Burgos was elimated, but the judges (Lolit Solis, Iza Calzado, and Floy Quintos) made it clear that those three at the bottom group tonight weren't actually their choices. Most probably, those three got the lowest internet votes from among fans. The judges also believed that neither Ian, Nina, nor Rye should be going home this week. They had that one-time "special power" to stop the nomination, yes, but they didn't do it saying it's not yet the right time. A subtle way of saying that they don't deserve that "power."
